Position Description: A Family Coordinator at Bridge Prep will engage with and involve parents and families within the school community by working with the Assistant Principal of Operations, Principal, Bridge Prep Family Association, school staff, and community groups. This position focuses on creating a welcoming environment for families, and supporting them in having their needs met and voices heard. The Family Coordinator will identify parent and related school and community issues and work with the Assistant Principal of Operations to see they are addressed in a timely manner while fulfilling the following duties:
- Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere for families that fosters parent engagement in their child's educational journey and actively increases parent involvement in school activities and events.
- Facilitate communication between families and the school on concerns, such as school policies.
- Develop and facilitate the school’s Family Survey, provided each trimester, and aggregate survey-specific data to share with school leadership and broader school community.
- Maintain robust communication with the entire parent body, ensuring an up-to-date email list.
- Manage school social media, website design and maintenance, newsletters, calendars, etc.
- Attend all monthly Family Association meetings, Connect Saturday programming, school events and activities, recruitment events, and all other evening and/or weekend programming as needed.
- Reporting directly to the Assistant Principal of Operations to provide comprehensive support for families in the school, as well as prospective families in the community.
- Support school leadership in designing and conducting workshops on important topics.
- Support the Assistant Principal of Operations in community outreach efforts.
- Support school leadership in the recruitment and registration of new students and families.
- Support school leadership and Assistant Principal of Operations with ad hoc projects.
Reporting: This is a full-time position reporting to the Assistant Principal of Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in community work in an area related to the duties described above is preferred.
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suite applications.
- Good interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills.
- Good problem-solving skills, creativity, judgment, initiative, optimism, and a sense of humor.
- Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
- Ability to work well in a busy and complex school environment.
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with all members of the school community.
- Commitment to the mission and core values of the school.
- Exemplary record of attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn new skills and participate in professional development activities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with diverse constituents.
- This position will require flexibility with respect to work hours in order to meet the needs of families, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and during summer months.

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $43,000-50,000 yearly.
